Just start by saying hi...after that ask him what he has been up to lately...the conversation should escalate from there. Just make conversation...be nice, try to be funny, whatever you need to do to get his attention. If there is stuff that happened before that was funny or something like that, remind him of it and talk about it. Then the next time he signs on, start talking again. If he has a girlfriend or something like that, then just slowly back off and dont talk to him as much.
